  Bridges to Italy

Italian classical and popular music has always linked my Italian family of friends and relatives to each other and to our roots, Italia. I was born in America and grew up as part of a loving, musical community of Italian Americans. Bridges to Italy is a journey into the power of music to capture the spirit of an Italian heritage.

For many Americans, heritage gives an added dimension to our self expression. All the songs I sing, whether opera, art song or popular songs, voice a tradition that is rich with emotion. Each piece communicates the music directly to the heart. As a first generation Italian American, I sing these songs with love and thanks to my parents for the new world they created here and for the heritage they continue to inspire me to express.
